Turkey’s Northern Tip: A Fairy Tale in Sinop

- Our tour departs on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- Our return time is between 00:00 and 02:00.
- All meals are NOT included in the tour price.
- Our fee includes: guiding service, transportation, onboard water, and TÜRSAB insurance.
- Seating is arranged by our agency, and no seat guarantees are given at the time of booking.
- Payments can be made 4 days before the tour by EFT/bank transfer, mail order, credit card at our office, or cash.
- Our guide reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to force majeure reasons (weather, road conditions, etc.).
- If the tour cannot continue due to force majeure, the tour company bears no financial responsibility.
- Pikola cannot be held responsible for delays that may occur during the tour due to road conditions.
- For meals not included in the price, the guide will recommend places, but there is no obligation to use the suggested venues.
- Guests may choose to receive services from any place they wish, provided that the tour program is not disrupted.
- Museum Card is valid at all museums affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
- You can apply for a Museum Card via e-Government and https://muze.gov.tr/
- Museums affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism are free of charge for our retired and teacher guests who present identification.
- Entrance to museums is free for guests with disability cards, as well as those under 18 and over 65.
- Museums may not be visited if they are closed due to renovation, maintenance, etc.
- All our guests are insured under the mandatory travel insurance No. 1618 of TÜRSAB.
- Depending on the number of participants, a 19+1 minibus / 31+1 midibus / 46+1 large bus will be used.
Dear Guests;
We meet in Giresun at 05:00 at Alman Çeşmesi, Atapark, and Boztekke Stop.
In Ordu, we meet at 06:00 at Rus Pazarı, the Old Bus Station, and the Cable Car Stop.
After an optional breakfast along the way, we arrive in Sinop, the northernmost point of Anatolia and the city of Diogenes, via the charming Black Sea districts of Bafra and Gerze. In Sinop, we set our sightseeing route as ERFELEK WATERFALLS. After free time at the Erfelek Waterfalls Nature Park, which is a natural wonder containing 28 large and small waterfalls, we taste Erfelek chestnut candy and chocolate and, after a short shopping break, visit HAMSİLOS BAY, Turkey’s only fjord-type coastline formed by the collapse of Deveci Creek, and take a photo break. After seeing Akliman beach, we return to the city center of Sinop. We visit the HISTORIC SINOP PRISON, known as the Turkish Alcatraz, where many famous people were once imprisoned and parts of which are open to visitors. Leaving the prison, which inspired Sabahattin Ali’s lines “Do not bow your head, never mind, dear heart, never mind,” we take a photo in front of the DIOGENES STATUE and then have lunch with the famous Sinop walnut manti. After lunch, we see the handcrafted Kotraları unique to Sinop and Sinop Castle, and then we join an optional BOAT TOUR. After viewing Sinop from another angle, we spend free time at the SINOP CASTLE TOWER and at the stalls in the city center selling local handmade products. At the appointed time, we take our seats in the vehicle and begin our return journey. We drop our valued guests off at the points where we picked them up, and bid farewell, hoping to see you again on another PIKOLA TOUR trip.
