How about joining Pikola Tour for a weekend trip to Kemaliye, Elazığ, and Tunceli, which you’ve always wanted to visit but couldn’t, or didn’t know how to get to? Where will we visit? Kemaliye, with its houses nestled among countless shades of green and where different cultures live together; the legendary River Euphrates and one of the world’s largest canyons, Karanlık Canyon, Elazığ with its 5,000-year history and historical Harput, one of Turkey’s most important national parks and home to 43 endemic plant species, Munzur Valley National Park, Tunceli, with its astonishing natural beauty and little-known culture, and Ovacık, with its legends, ice-cold springs, and extraordinary nature.
- Our tour is 3 DAYS, including 1 night of travel by vehicle and 1 night of hotel accommodation.
- 1 Night Hotel, 2 Breakfasts, 1 Dinner, Guiding, Transportation, and TÜRSAB Insurance are included in the tour price.
- If the required minimum participation is not reached, participants will be informed of the TOUR CANCELLATION 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
- The seating plan is arranged by our agency, and SEAT GUARANTEE IS NOT PROVIDED.

- Payments can be made by EFT, mail order, credit card, or cash 7 days before the tour date.

- Since Eastern Anatolia has a continental climate, the weather is variable, so we remind you to bring suitable clothing.

- Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are FREE for our teachers who present their ID cards.
- Entry to museums is FREE for guests with a disability card, children under 18, and seniors over 65.

Ordu 01:30: Russian Bazaar, Cable Car, Ordu Municipality, in front of the Old Ordu Bus Terminal, we meet and begin our overnight journey.
We arrive in Kemaliye, formerly known as Eğin, in the morning; this town has been nominated for the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List and had its name changed in honor of Atatürk, with its unique architecture. After breakfast, we take Safari Jeeps (extra) and, thanks to the remarkable efforts of the people of Eğin, travel along the Stone Road, whose construction took 130 years, and photograph the Karanklık Canyon, one of the world’s largest canyons, from the land (extra). We pass through Kemaliye and begin a journey through time in the historic streets of Kemaliye. We visit Zincirli Kaya, the historic Taş Dibi Mosque, Mani Yolu, and Seytali Park, then enjoy our “Bebik” coffees at Lökhane. During the free time we will have, you may buy local products, experience the atmosphere of the town, and take plenty of photos to create lasting memories. We leave Kemaliye and go to Apçaağa Village. After the free time in the village, we listen to the story of the bridge built by the late Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu, which is the subject of Ayşe Kulin’s book Köprü, from our guide. At the end of the break, we arrive in Elazığ, the 4,000-year-old “Land of the Gakkoşlar.” In Harput, one of the oldest settlements of the Upper Euphrates Valley, which has hosted many civilizations throughout history, we see historical structures such as the Ulu Mosque, Harput Mansions, and Arap Baba Tomb, and then we settle into our hotel in Elazığ. After breakfast at our hotel, we leave Elazığ and board our ferry waiting for us in Pertek. During our journey on the Keban Dam Lake, we see Pertek Castle, and after meeting our vehicle again, we continue through the mountains to Tunceli. After seeing the suspension bridges over the Munzur River and taking photo breaks, we visit the MUNZUR VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, which hosts many endemic plants and was declared a national park in 1971 within the borders of Tunceli province. We admire the magnificent mountain scenery and head to Ovacık District at the foothills of Mount Munzur, completing our tour of the unique Munzur Springs. We complete our visits to Tunceli Center and the Cem House, then follow Kutu Stream and photograph the “Wailing Rocks” in Pülümür. It is now time to return; we taste the famous wrap döner in Erzincan and, after shopping for local Erzincan Tulum cheese, we drop our valued guests off at the points where we picked them up, bidding farewell in the hope of meeting again on another PİKOLA TUR trip.
