Hidden in the far northeast of Turkey, bordering Georgia, rises a paradise in Borçka district of Artvin: Macahel Valley. Officially known as Camili Region, this unique valley was declared by UNESCO in 2005 as Turkey's first and only Biosphere Reserve area. Hidden behind misty mountains for most of the year, Macahel awaits you with its untouched temperate rainforests, rich vegetation, biodiversity, and distinctive cultural structure.
Our tour is limited to 16 guests...
- Our tour 1 includes overnight hotel stay.
- The tour price includes:Guiding, 1 night accommodation, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner, transportation, guiding, TÜRSAB insurance.
- Seating arrangements are made according to the reservation order, and no seat guarantees are provided.
- Breakfasts will be served at the hotels, either as a buffet or set menu.
- In our tour, 1 dinner and 1 morning breakfast are included in the tour price.
- In triple rooms (3-person room: double bed + extra bed), the third bed is an extra bed or sofa bed and is smaller than standard beds.
- Child discounts apply only when staying in the same room with two adults.
- At hotels, check-in time is generally 14:00 and check-out time is 10:00.
- Some of our programs are offered based on several alternative hotels.
- For our programs with multiple hotel options, the guide and transfer vehicle may be the same.
- Our guide, while adhering to the tour content, may make changes on city tour days depending on whether museums are closed.
- Payments can be made via EFT, Mail Order, Credit Card at the office, or Cash at least 7 days before the tour.
- Tour Cancellation is notified to guests at least 7 days in advance.
- For confirmed reservations, 20% of the tour fee is collected at the time of booking.
- Museum and historical site entrance fees are not included in the tour price.
- Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers should be worn during the trip.
- Waiting times at road crossings and museum entrances during the journey may exceed standard limits; PİKOLA TUR cannot be held responsible for any negative consequences arising from such waiting periods.
- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are short tours lasting up to 1–2 hours, organized for general introduction to cities, conducted from the vehicle with guide commentary, and do not include entry to museums or historical sites.
- PİKOLA TUR is not liable if panoramic tours or other scheduled tours cannot take place due to closures by local authorities on the designated day and time, road closures caused by events, or adverse weather conditions making the tour impossible.
- Some tours may be conducted using public transport or on foot where vehicle access is restricted or roads are closed, within available means.
- For Museums Under the Ministry of Tourism, we recommend that guests obtain Museum Cards.
- For Museum Cards; you can apply via https://muze.gov.tr/ and through E-DEVLET
- For our Teachers presenting ID cards, Guests with Disability Cards, and those under 18 or over 65 years old, museum entries are free.
- All guests are covered under TÜRSAB Mandatory Travel Insurance, which provides mandatory insurance limited to the tour fee against health issues, agency insolvency, and failure to provide services. This insurance is arranged by PİKOLA TUR.
- According to the law, our agency maintains Professional Liability Insurance under Law No. 1618 throughout the tour.
- Our tour will be conducted using a minibus, semi-coach, or large coach depending on the number of participants.

Ordu / Time: 04:00 in front of the Old Bus Terminal, Rus Pazarı, Dört Yol
Giresun / Time: 05:00 at Boztekke Sapağı, meeting at Atapark and starting our journey.
After taking a (Extra) breakfast on the way, we make a short stop in Borçka, set along the Çoruh River. Upon ending the break, we reach the nature park BORÇKA KARAGÖL at an altitude of 1550 meters, accompanied by wooden houses. You can take a walk in the natural wonder Karagöl, nestled at the foothills of Heba and Atanoğlu Yaylaları, and enjoy your tea in tranquility. After completing our visit to Karagöl, we begin our journey towards Macahel amidst the magnificent colors of autumn. Macahel, which remains hidden under fog for most of the year and is Turkey's first and only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, we first observe the Karçal Mountains and Valleys through the Small Pass. With photo stops along the way, we settle into NİSLİ KONUKEVİ, which opened its doors to guests this year. After enjoying our tea and coffee and gathering information about the region, we have our dinner. Accommodation and dinner are at NİSLİ KONUKEVİ MACAHEL
We start our day with a magnificent view and enjoy breakfast. Afterward, we pass through the Cariyet and Gogort Ge neighborhoods to visit the Imerit Wooden Mosque in Maral Village, adorned with 170-year-old natural dyes. Following our guide's explanations, we embark on a walk along the trail surrounded by chestnut, beech, and hornbeam trees, each possessing monument-like qualities, and arrive at Maral Waterfall, which we call a hidden paradise. We listen to the soothing sound of the water and admire the breathtaking scenery of Maral Waterfall. With stunning views, we then visit Camili Village, centrally located in Macahel. Inside this village right on the border, we photograph Camili Mosque and the old houses before bidding farewell to Macahel. Continuing along the Black Sea coastal road, we stop in Çayeli to taste dry beans and rice cooked with butter. After our meal, we visit the Tea Factory in Araklı, known for processing some of the region's most special tea leaves and serving as the filming location for the series "Taşacak Bu Deniz." After enjoying our Tavşankanı teas, accompanied by breaks along the way, we drop off our esteemed guests at their designated points and bid you farewell, looking forward to meeting again on another PİKOLA TOUR.
