Hidden in the far northeast of Turkey, bordering Georgia, rises a paradise in Borçka district of Artvin: Macahel Valley. Officially known as Camili Region, this unique valley was declared in 2005 by UNESCO as Turkey's first and only Biosphere Reserve area. Hidden behind misty mountains for most of the year, Macahel awaits you with its untouched temperate rainforests, rich vegetation, biodiversity, and distinctive cultural structure.
Our tour is limited to 16 guests...
- Our tour 1 includes overnight hotel stay.
- The tour price includes:guidance, 1 night accommodation, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner, transportation, guidance, TÜRSAB insurance.
- Seating arrangements are made according to the reservation order, and no seat guarantees are provided.
- Breakfasts will be served at the hotels, either as a buffet or set menu.
- In our tour, 1 dinner and 1 morning breakfast are included in the tour fee.
- In triple rooms (3-person room: double bed + extra bed), the third bed is an extra bed or sofa bed and is smaller than standard beds.
- Child discounts apply only when staying in the same room with two adults.
- At hotels, check-in time is generally 14:00 and check-out time is 10:00.
- Some of our programs are offered based on several alternative hotels.
- For our programs with multiple hotel options, the guide and transfer vehicle may be the same.
- Our guide, while adhering to the tour content, may make changes on city tour days depending on whether museums are closed.
- Payments can be made via EFT, Mail Order, Credit Card at the office, or Cash, up to 7 days before the tour.
- Tour Cancellation is communicated to guests 7 days in advance.
- For confirmed reservations, 20% of the tour fee is collected at the time of booking.
- Museum and historical site entrance fees are not included in the tour price.
- Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers should be worn during the trip.
- Waiting times at road crossings and museum entrances during the journey may exceed standard limits; PİKOLA TUR cannot be held responsible for any negative consequences arising from such waiting periods.
- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are short tours (maximum 1–2 hours) organized for general introduction to cities, conducted from the vehicle with guide commentary, and do not include entry to museums or historical sites.
- PİKOLA TUR is not liable if panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot take place due to local authorities prohibiting visits on the scheduled day and time, closures due to events, impassable roads, or adverse weather conditions.
- Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot, where possible, at locations with restricted vehicle access or closed roads.
- For Museums Under the Ministry of Tourism, we recommend that our guests obtain a Museum Card.
- For the Museum Card, you can apply via https://muze.gov.tr/ and through E-DEVLET.
- For our Teachers presenting their ID cards, Guests with Disability Cards, and those under 18 or over 65 years old, museum entries are free.
- All guests are covered by TÜRSAB Mandatory Travel Insurance, which provides health, agency bankruptcy, and non-performance coverage limited to the tour fee. This insurance is arranged by PİKOLA TUR.
- According to the law, our agency maintains Professional Liability Insurance under Law No. 1618 throughout the tour.
- Our tour will be conducted using a minibus, semi-coach, or large coach, depending on the number of participants.

Ordu / Time: 04.00 In front of the Old Bus Terminal, Rus Pazarı, Dört Yol
Giresun / Time: 05.00 We meet at Boztekke Sapağı and Atapark and begin our journey.
After taking a (Extra) breakfast on the way, we make a short stop in Borçka, set along the Çoruh River. Upon ending the break, accompanied by wooden houses, we reach the nature park at an altitude of 1550 meters, BORÇKA KARAGÖL. You can take a walk in the natural wonder Karagöl, nestled at the foothills of Heba and Atanoğlu Yaylaları, and enjoy your tea in tranquility. After completing our visit to Karagöl, we now begin our journey towards Macahel amidst the magnificent colors of autumn. Macahel, which remains hidden under fog for most of the year and is Turkey's first and only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, we first observe the Karçal Mountains and Valleys via the Small Pass. Along with photo stops, we settle into the NİSLİ GUESTHOUSE, which opened its doors to guests this year. After enjoying our tea and coffee and gathering information about the region, we have our dinner. Accommodation and dinner are at NİSLİ GUESTHOUSE MACAHEL
We start our day with a magnificent view. After breakfast, we visit the İmerit Wooden Mosque, decorated with 170-year-old natural dyes in Maral Village, passing through the neighborhoods of Cariyet and Gogort Ge. Following our guide's explanations, we continue our walk on the trail among chestnut, beech, and hornbeam trees, each possessing the quality of a monument, and arrive at the hidden paradise we call Maral Waterfall. We enjoy the soothing sound of the water and the breathtaking scenery of Maral Waterfall. With magnificent views, we then visit Camili Village, located at the center of Macahel. Inside the village, which is right on the border, we photograph Camili Mosque and the old houses before saying goodbye to Macahel. Following the Black Sea coastal road, we stop in Çayeli to taste dry beans and pilaf made with butter. After our meal, we visit the Tea Factory in Araklı, which served as the setting for the series "Taşacak Bu Deniz" and processes some of the region's most special tea leaves. After enjoying our Tavşankanı teas, accompanied by breaks along the way, we drop off our valued guests at their respective points, bidding farewell with the hope of meeting again on another PİKOLA TOUR journey.
