In the morning, we arrive in Anatolia’s epic city written in stone, SIVAS (Extra) After taking our breakfast, we listen from our guide about the Kale Mosque, built in 1580 in the city square by Ali Bey, Governor of Sivas and vizier of Murad III; the Buruciye Madrasa, built in 1271–72 by Muzaffer Burcuverdi; and the Double Minaret Madrasa, built in the same period by the Ilkhanid vizier Sahib Shams al-Din Mehmet Juvayni. After a tea break, we photograph the magnificent portal of the Şifaiye Madrasa and Darüşşifa, built by Izzeddin Keykavus I, then visit the Atatürk Congress Building and relive the excitement of the past at the historic site where the first steps of the Republic were taken. After hearing from our guide about Gökpınar Lake, one of Turkey’s rare beauties with its crystal-clear water that bears its name, its color changing according to the angle of the sun, and its rich flora and fauna, we leave you alone with this natural beauty. After taking a photo of this beauty, whose postcard-like view will mesmerize your eyes, we move on toward DARENDE SOMUNCU BABA TOMB . After the Somuncu Baba Tomb, which we will visit first, we visit the Tohma Canyon and Tohma Stream, the Pools of Power, the Fish Pool, and the Fish Wells; after a short walk, arrival at our hotel in Malatya. After breakfast at our hotel, we begin our city tour of MALATYA. Our first stop on the tour is a short break at the Şire Market for apricot shopping. At the end of the break, we arrive in (Battalgazi) Old Malatya. After seeing Silahtar Mustafa Pasha Caravanserai and the Roman Walls in Battalgazi, we reach ONAR VILLAGE, one of the oldest Cemevis in our country. We will visit Hasan Onar Tomb, which has an 800-year history, and the historic Cemevi. After our conversation with the villagers, we head to the famous Arapgir tea in the village of ARAPGIR. In the Arapgir district, which stands out with its historical texture, we take a walk along streets dating back to the Ottoman period and stop for Reyhani Tea at Millet Han, one of Arapgir’s most important landmarks. Then, after seeing Mirliva Ahmet Bey Mosque, an exceptional stop where stone, faith, and the art of wisdom intertwine, DIVRIĞI GREAT MOSQUE AND HOSPITAL awaits you. This monumental structure, built in the 13th century, has stone worked patiently stitch by stitch, with a different prayer on each column and a hidden human view of the universe in each motif. As we discover this magnificent structure with our guide’s narration, we feel as if the stone is breathing. After the break we will take in Arasta in Divriği, we begin our return journey. At night between 01.00 – 03.00, we drop you off at the points where we picked you up, and say goodbye until we meet again on another PIKOLA TOUR trip…
